What is your background?

Neil Perez, CPA is the owner and founder of Perez & Company LLC. He both received his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in accounting at Long Island University Brooklyn Campus in NY. Moreover, he is a Certified Public Accountant in the States of FL & NY. Nevertheless, Neil has been servicing clients not just in NY and FL but throughout the United States including US residents residing in the Philippines.

I live outside of New York & Florida and have multiple state tax returns, can you still help me?

Yes, absolutely, we can help you resolve your Federal & State income tax filings not only in New York & Florida but throughout the entire United States. As a matter of fact, we currently service clients residing in various states such as CA, MA, VA, MA, MI, MO, NV and HI just to name a few. We specialize in multi-state filings such as filing state tax returns for travel nurses. Please contact us to discuss more about your requirements.

In which states are you licensed?

Neil Perez, CPA is a licensed CPA in New York and Florida but we service all clients throughout the U.S.

How do you work with your clients?

Although over 95% of our clients have their accounting and tax services done remotely, we can schedule an in person appointment with you. Please do not hesitate to contact us.

I am too busy or don’t have time to come to your office, can you still prepare my tax returns?

Absolutely, over 95% of our clients do have their tax returns processed remotely. You don’t have to physically come to our office. But rather you can email, fax, mail or even text your tax documents to us and everything will be processed accordingly.

How can I pay your remotely?

You can pay us via Zelle, Paypal, CashApp, Chase Quick pay or you can also mail us your check or money order.

Are you open round the year?

Unlike other tax offices, Perez & Company LLC is open round-year.

Is it true that if I e-file my taxes, refunds are faster?

That is true. E-filing your tax returns and having your refund directly deposited into your bank account not only it is faster and easier but it is safer than mailing your tax returns.

How will you get my signature if you e-file my tax return?

There is no need for your signature when e-filing your returns. Rather a 5-digit PIN, or personal identification number, is required in place of the conventional signature.

I received a 1099, so how does that impact my taxes?

As a 1099 recipient, you are considered an independent contractor and not an employee. There are no withholding, employee benefits or payroll taxes that are deducted from the payment you receive. Therefore, you are responsible to remit your quarterly estimated tax liability to the IRS and/or the State. But we can certainly help you remit your quarterly tax liabilities so you can focus on what you do best which is to grow your business.
